Duluth, MN - Lakeville, MN
Feeling a little slow after drinking that bottle of wine the night before, we left mid-morning. We do have a long drive today but, we made it that way by taking the county roads and stopping at a Waterfall. Not just a waterfall, it's Wisconsin's Highest Waterfall called Big Manitou Falls. We went from Minnesota to Wisconsin back to Minnesota via crossing the Mississippi River.
I took a few pictures of Superior, WI as we drove through. Superior and the neighboring city across the bay, Duluth, MN form a single metropolitan area called the "Twin Ports". They share a harbor that is one of the most important ports on the Great Lakes.
We are getting weather alerts on our phones of severe thunderstorms in the county where we are staying. Well, they weren't kidding, the sky was getting blacker as we approached our hotel. When we pulled up to the hotel, it was raining and windy. By the time we got to our room it was severely windy, raining and hailing (pea size). After watching the news, there are several areas flooded in the Lakeville area. Just 25 miles west of us there was such severe winds that barns and some older buildings roofs were dislodged.

| That's our hotel in this picture..look at that storm cloud...YIKES!!! |
It was a bit scary with the hail. We were so worried that the hail size may be big enough to damage Tessie. No undercover parking. The hail stayed at peas size but, we will inspect her tomorrow morning.

That vinyl wrap just payed for itself.
ReplyDeleteYes, it has paid for itself. Not with just the hail but the bugs...my goodness, feeling bad in killing so many bugs. Just about every time we stop to charge, we have to clean the front of the car from bugs and the windshield.
