Glenview, IL to New Berlin, WI

Having a short drive this morning, we were able to sleep in a little bit, enjoy our room and breakfast.  It's a beautiful sunny day with the possibility of rain along our way to New Berlin, WI.  We arrived at our friends (Katy and Dennis) house, for an overnight stay.

Went for a tour of downtown Milwaukee and walked along the Milwaukee Bay (part of Lake Michigan) front.

Afterwards, we had to hit Miller High Life Brewery.  Really not having time for the tour, we sight-seen the Brewery, visited the Gift Shop and headed back to the house for a cold Miller Beer.

We sat out in the front yard and enjoyed a few Miller Beer's and great conversations.  Dennis would wave to all the neighbors driving by coming home from a hard days work.    

For dinner we headed on over to the 5 O'Clock Club for the Wisconsin "Friday Fish Fry". Hundreds of eateries hold fish fries on Fridays because Wisconsin was settled heavily by Catholics of German, Polish and other backgrounds whose religion forbade eating meat on Fridays.

Feeling overly full, we rolled back to the house for a beautiful evening on their back patio.  Dennis made us special drinks and we drank, talked, laughed and had a great time till about midnight. 

WOW!!! What a FUN filled day with great friends.  

Thank you so much Katy and Dennis for opening up your home for us and your heart warming Hospitality.  We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and really wish we could have stayed longer.
