Anaconda, MT - Hamilton, MT
The next morning we drove over to the golf course for a quick breakfast, warm up on Jack Nicklaus "3 Little Bear", (Par 4,3,4) course and off we went to the first tee. The golf course was emerged from an old copper smelter. Many remnants from the smelting days are embedded and remain around the course. The bunker are made with SLAG. Slag is a left over by product after the smelting process. You don't want to get into a bunker, it's black and a bitch to get out of.
We first stopped at Lois's home and sat on her deck, had a drink, enjoyed some appetizers she prepared for us as we took in the breathtaking view of the snow capped mountains from her backyard.
We then headed over to Bill's to settle in for the evening.
