April 20, 2019 - Saturday

We started our morning with Ron and Jane taking us to the town of Louisville, Co. to Huckleberry's for breakfast.  There was a wait, so we strolled this historic coal mining town and came back to being told we were next to being seated.  Nothing like perfect timing.  Hence the 15 minute wait, the food was very good and the service was excellent.

THANK-YOU so much Jane and Ron for your wonderful hospitality.  Our visit was short but, it won't be the last.

After our breakfast it was time to head back to the house, pack up and move onto Thornton, Co where our friends Judy and Tom live.  It was a very short 20 minute drive.  They live in Todd Creek Village in a 55 and older community of Heritage.  Tom unfortunately had been diagnosed the day before we arrived with Pneumonia and a very bad cough.   Judy being the people person she is, has been taking very good care of us and her husband Tom  We had some chores to take care, so Judy drove us around to Safeway, Verizon, Kum & Go (needed to check out the charging station).  We came back to the house and sat in back patio, enjoyed drinks and an amazing cheese ball and crackers with a beautiful view of Hole #1 at Todd Creek Golf Club.  Later in the day Tom was able to visit for a little bit before he had to go rest again. It was so nice to see him but, understand that rest is very important.  In the evening, Judy created one of her favorite Chicken Casserole dishes for dinner while she put me to work by making an Egg casserole for our Easter breakfast.  She treated us with her Upside down pineapple cake which was very yummy.  During dessert, Tom was feeling well enough to spend some more time with us.  He is on antibiotics and is feeling a little better as time passes.
