St George, Ut - Bryce Canyon City, Ut

Today was a pretty easy travel day.  We decided to play golf on our way to Bryce Canyon City in the city of Hurricane at Sky Mountain Golf Course.  Our friend Ginger recommended this place and what a gem.  The golf course is surrounded by Zion National Park and the Pine Valley Mountain Range.
We were paired with a very nice couple who are from Los Gatos and are now residence of the golf course community.  Her father (Charlie Lang) was a member at Seascape Golf Club for many years.  Unfortunately, he passed a couple of years ago.  What a same world.  We both played pretty well for a challenging course.  Johnny got an Eagle on the 10th hole.  We were both so happy for him because he didn't really play that well on the front 9.   He lite it up on the back 9 scoring 2 over. WOW!!!!  He ended his round with an 84.  I shot an 89 with nothing exciting to talk about.  HA!!

After golf we headed to Bryce Canyon City, UT.  During our road trip, on Hwy 20 we climbed to 7910 Ft in Elevation.  It was a beautiful drive through a pass between the Markagunt Plateau and Tushar Mountains.

We then turned onto Scenic Hwy 89 and drove through the Red Canyon into Bryce Canyon City, UT.

Our resting place for the night is the Best Western Plus "Ruby's Inn" in Bryce Canyon City, Utah.  We needed to stay here to charge Tessie.  They let you charge in their overflow camping RV spots.  Which takes ALL night to charge, and you better know that you need that special RV charging plug adapter to charge, or you are out of luck.  There was a note on our window the next morning from a Tesla owner who only needed to add 30 miles onto their car to get to their next destination and asked if they could use our charging adapter.  Fortunately, they found a destination charger nearby.

Ruby's Inn was established in 1916 when Reuben (Ruby) and Minnie Syrett brought their family to this area.  In 1919, Ruby built a small lodge near the brink of the canyon and became the first lodging in Bryce Canyon.  Ruby's Inn is still owned and operated by Ruby's Family.  This is a little town within itself.  https://www.rubysinn.com/

We were unable to watch golf but heard "TIGER" is back.  Congratulations "TIGER", the 14 year "Master's" drought is over.
